How sane is your parenting experience?
I know parenting can get a little crazy for me sometimes.
Crazy’s not all bad, especially when it equates to fun and joy shared between loving family members. However, when the craziness leads to frustration, anger, doubt and indecision – our loving presence is affected and we may not be able to be the parents we know we are (or want to be) deep inside.
It is in these conflicted moments that attention to what we are experiencing is so vital. When parenting is going well, we don’t particularly need specific information or support (unless we’re looking to make an important decision).
When parenting is a struggle, it can be really helpful to learn and practice some skills to weather the challenges and actually find the hidden opportunities we have as parents (yes, even in tantrums, teen angst or not knowing how to balance our needs with those of our kids).
So, I have some questions for you. What most do you want to stop doing as a parent? If you were to experience a miracle, what would your parenting experience be like? What would you do differently?
I’ll be gentle, yet direct.
Are you ready to bring these changes about? Change starts with the decision to create the space for transformation to happen.
I invite you to check inside and see if now is the time to create this space and bring about more sanity (balance, stability and ease) in your parenting experience. If so, join the Sane Parenting Challenge today.
Not sure you’re ready? I’d love to stay connected with you.
